We are now in the Pacific Time Zone – 2 hours behind the Midwest

August 13^th – We traveled northwest on I-84 all day today – well for 300 or so miles anyway. From south of Boise, ID to Pendleton, OR. We ran in rain through Boise and about an hour north and the clear sailing until twenty miles south of Pendleton where we saw cars and trucks coming towards us covered in hail – yes HAIL. Before long we were in the piles of hail 3 inches deep just trying to stay in the tracks. The temp went from 78 to 54 in minutes. Luckily nobody did anything to stupid around us! We are in a Casino campground on the edge of Pendleton and will do our tours there tomorrow.
